A Perth agency built on Google Ads management added one white-label service to a base of roughly 58 small clients. Within a year it was a recurring revenue line with a tracked margin and the start of a wider partnership.

Response Marketing is a digital agency in Perth, Western Australia, built around Google Ads management for small businesses. Its base was roughly 58 clients, most on ad budgets of $200 to $300 a month. Individually, none of them justified a bespoke SEO engagement, and the agency had no obvious way to add revenue per client without winning new ones.
Response Marketing started working with Mavlers Agency in September 2025. The first job was to turn SEO and AI Optimization (AIO) into something a small client could buy. Mavlers Agency designed the package and pricing, built the AIO brand and brochure, and standardized a four-part client proposal template that cut turnaround from weeks to days. A reciprocal AIO program for Response Marketing's own site and a new client nurture program followed.

Demand came quickly. Nine AIO briefs ran in parallel across December 2025 and January 2026, and five new clients signed in a single week in January. By mid-2026, dozens of individual accounts had been won or renewed. The monthly package grew from a base of 5 to 10 hours to a bundle of 250 to 260 hours in about ten months. As volume grew, Mavlers Agency added a dedicated client success and project manager to the account.

Mavlers Agency bills Response Marketing about $35 an hour. Response Marketing resells the work to its own clients at a flat $1,000 a month, excluding GST, on a six-month minimum, built on a 10-hour monthly package. That works out to $100 an hour resold.

On the June 2026 bundle of 250 to 260 hours, billing from Mavlers Agency runs at roughly $8,750 to $9,100 a month. That figure is also modelled from hours logged and the agreed rate.
In an April 2026 call, the founder said good communication and client trust had rebuilt the business, and credited regular client walkthroughs with both retention and new wins. He described getting back the momentum he had ten years earlier running his own agency. His plan is to step back from day-to-day delivery and spend his time on strategy, sales and business development, while the dedicated manager takes over client communication across the base and introduces AIO, web and other services directly.
He set a target of 30 to 40 AIO clients by the end of that quarter and named three areas beyond SEO: packaged website builds and upgrades, Meta Ads as a lower-cost branding option, and HubSpot CRM integration for his B2B clients. In the June 2026 business review he credited the AI-search program and a new reporting format with turning skeptical clients into advocates.
Scale has tested capacity. Handing client communication, upselling and delivery oversight for more than 60 accounts to one dedicated manager is more than that role can carry without more headcount. The account's success measures have also shifted before, from an initial AI visibility brief to specific keyword ranking targets within a couple of months. Billing timing, scope creep and the quality of the paid search work have needed attention too. Capacity and success measures are under active discussion with Response Marketing and are not yet resolved.
Response Marketing added a recurring revenue line to a client base it already had, without new business development. Each engagement is built on a six-month minimum retainer.
On the modelled figures, every hour resold keeps about $65, a gross margin near 65%. The proposal template also shortened the path from pitch to signed client from weeks to days.
The relationship moved from one service line to an embedded delivery arm that can resell the wider Mavlers Agency stack under Response Marketing's own brand.
